The work of seven artists feature in this year’s Kerry Visual Artists’ Showcase: Lisa Fingleton, Des Fitzgerald, Kaye Maahs, James Hayes, Julie Lovett, Nicole Tilley and Norman McCloskey This is the fifth annual showcase and it runs until October 31st at Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, New Road, Killarney.
Lisa Fingleton’s installation features ‘The Local Food Project’ (An artist book supported by the Kerry County Council Creative Work Bursary), The Sandwich project and two paintings reflecting the artist’s concerns about the lack of food sovereignty in the context of climate change:
