Drawing With Nature

With artist Lisa Fingleton

In this creative and interactive workshop you are invited to become present with nature and use drawing as a meditative tool to really see what is around you.

We will start with a short meditation and a brief introduction to drawing with nature. Then you will have time to observe and draw. No drawing experience is necessary, just an openness to the experience.

The workshop will take place in the beautiful gardens, native woodlands and meadows at The Barna Way just outside Ballybunion.

Lisa brings over 20 years of drawing experience to this workshop and has most recently worked on large scale drawing projects with the Irish Museum of Modern Art, The Crawford Art Gallery and Creative Ireland.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring wellies if you have them.

All materials are provided but if you have your own preferred drawing materials please feel free to bring them. Lisa will demonstrate some unique drawing materials she has created from the plants and trees at Barna as part of the Creative Work Development Bursary 2023 from Kerry County Council.

All proceeds from workshops support biodiversity projects at The Barna Way. 10,000 native trees were planted in 2020 and there is a beautiful woodland walk.
